Eucharistic ministers are the members of the congregation who participate in the
liturgy of the services at Nativity. The job of the eucharistic minister is to blend into
the background of the service while serving the congregation by bringing Holy
Scripture to life and assisting the priest at the Altar to administer the sacrament of
Holy Communion. As ministers of the service, reading the lessons immerses the
lector in the meaning of Holy Scripture, and offering the chalice to your brothers
and sisters in Christ gives one a sense of one body of believers in our shared faith.
Together we live out the original meaning of liturgy, which means “the work of the
people” as we worship Almighty God.
